EPA's Texas Power Grab - Paul Driessen - Townhall Conservative

EPA's Texas Power Grab - Paul Driessen - Townhall Conservative

It is amazing to me the lengths this administration will go, although by now I suppose I shouldn't be quite so amazed. But the unmitigated gall of coming into a state and taking over all the regulatory process is such a violation of the principles this country was founded on. At least Texas is fighting them in the courts. If the government wins this round, Texas will lose more that just the right to set and enforce regulations, it will lose jobs left and right. So much of the economy of Texas is based on energy production and distribution that it will have a ripple effect to every other industry and business in the state.
And that ripple effect will not just stop in Texas either. Just think of how much of the rest of the countries energy comes from Texas. Not only that, but Texas is where a lot of our imports come through, too. From the Gulf of Mexico and from Mexico via truck and rail. With the new regulations the EPA is trying to put on Texas and the rest of the country, the cost of food is going to rise drastically. With increased cost in feed for livestock, increased cost in the transportation of both livestock, fruits and vegetables, and even milk.
Then you have the cost of heating and cooling our homes and business. Think what the increased cost will do to the price of every single product made in this country. Mr. Obama says that we need to make and export more things in the country and at the same time he is doing everything he can to make it harder and much more costly.
You have to really ask what will they gain from all the things that they are doing? Personally I see little for anyone to gain, unless your goal is the destruction of the country itself. I honestly feel the same as a lot of people that that is their ultimate goal but, I wonder if they have thought past that. What happens when they do bring down the country? Do they honestly think that they will retire some place and bask in the glory of what they have done? There is not a country in the world that would really want them there. The price on their head would be so high that anyone around them would be in danger. And the countries that cheered the destruction of this country would be even less willing to let them settle in their country because they couldn't trust them not to do the same to them.
And is they think they could just peacefully retire here they are just plain crazy. People don't forget what has been taken away from them. There aren't enough people in the world to protect someone if someone else is determined to do them harm. They have to ask themselves if the price they will personally have to pay is worth the momentary glee that they may get in the personal destruction of the greatest country on the earth!Declaration Of Independence, Constitution Of The United States Of America, Bill Of Rights And Constitutional Amendments
